How to specify minority interest and associate interests in a forecast
You can specify a minority
or associate interest for each forecast in the consolidation as needed.
Minority Interest
After consolidating, a minority
interest % is entered. We then add a line to display the minority share of
profit deducted from the source forecast profit at the bottom of the P&L
report.
If the minority interest is 25%
then 25% of the net profit and dividend are deducted from the source forecasts
net profit.
Associate Interest
This is
where the subsidiary investment is a minority, and/or you have no control over
the subsidiary.
In this case it is the reverse of minority interest. We
calculate the share of profit % and report that only.
Revenues, Cost of Sales, Overheads etc. are not consolidated into the consolidation
