PAYE is causing an out of balance

PAYE is causing an out of balance

Issue:
My balance sheet is not balancing due to my PAYE.

Cause:
This can be caused when the first data month has been changed from any period except the first, to another period, after the figures have been entered and the PAYE figures get stuck.
e.g. Start date is Jan 20, First data month is Feb 20 but then the first data month is moved to Mar 20. This will cause the issue.
Note: if moving from the same as the start date, this issue should not arise.

Solution:
  1. Change the first data month to match the forecast start date.
  2. Remove the PAYE opening balance through the Opening Balances Entry screen.
Note: it will cause a out of balance prompt, you do not need to correct.
  3. Run a Budget and System Recalculation.
  4. Change the first data month to the month you wish.
  5. Enter the PAYE opening balance through the Opening Balances Entry screen.
  6. Run a Budget and System Recalculation.
  7. Run the balance sheet and see it has corrected.
